Dina is an ambitious multi-tasker, bustling with energy and enthusiasm. After a Masters in Fine Arts in Canada, Dina dove into project management working in various fields including construction and publishing. With experience in management and teamwork, Dina joined Polypod to finally bring her arts education and management experience together. She enjoys the creative environment of the studio while maintaining a fluid and productive workflow.
Raneem El Khachen believes that one cannot only be simply an architect but a multidisciplinary designer. Her interest started through exploring the link between Architecture and Fashion Design for her graduation thesis at the American University of Beirut in 2012. For that, with Polypod she is enjoying the work environment where designers of different fields meet.
Hani is an architect who loves everything design and co-founded Polypod with that in mind. As a futurist, he connects unusual things like communication networks and space design. He is a thought-leader on collaborative workplaces and knowledge environments. He is vegan, meditates frequently, plays the piano, and is a big fan of Maurice Ravel. He teaches architecture and design at various universities and at the Lebanese American University since 2005. Rana is an architect and a founding partner of Polypod. She thrives on collaboration, multitasking and learning. She established a multidisciplinary career bridging design professional practice with academic teaching as Senior Lecturer at the American University of Beirut (since 1999) and the Lebanese American University (since 2014) and sustainable development work for the United Nations. She received her master of architecture degree from McGill University in 1996 and her bachelor of architecture degree from the Université de Montreal in 1994. For Hayat Graphic Design started as a hobby and developed into becoming her passion and career. She was always fascinated by motion Graphics, character design and illustration, which she is skilled at.
Hayat blossomed in her senior year and won the Graphic design Award held at LAU in 2008. She is always thirsty for learning and growing as a designer.
Jihane has earned her bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the Lebanese American University, which tailored her drive and love for designing. She later strove towards a Master’s degree from Domus Academy in Milan where she learned the value and importance of diversity in the workplace. Luckily, for her Polypod is a multidisciplinary firm that satisfies her constant urges to learn new ideas from people with different views.
Graduated in 2008 from the Lebanese University with a Diploma in Interior Architecture, Charbel al Tawil has experienced both the execution and the design divisions of this field. Design, for him, is a conscious/unconscious management of any dimension to shape or define space.
Basma believes the main aim of architects and designers is to make life a better place, through designing inspirational spaces, objects or communication tools. She graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2009, and then she had the chance to work in Lebanon, Riyadh and Canada. She is currently working on getting her landscape design certificate from Ryerson University. She enjoys multitasking, and designing in all scales, has an eye for details and thrives in a multidisciplinary environment, which is the main reason why she joined Polypod in 2015.
