The Polypod Creative Series invites local and global luminaries to bring people together to discuss ideas and the creative process. The events take place within our informal studio space, which encourages more personal interaction with the speakers. So far the series have involved graphic designers, authors, thought-leaders, product designers, architects, filmmakers, artists, and information designers.

Sylva Assilian Nasrallah

 On Wednesday 29 February 2012 Polypod is pleased to host Sylva Assilian Nasrallah, an Armenian-Lebanese clothes designer working in Cairo and is the co-founder of Nagada with her partner Michel Pastore. Nagada has made a name for itself by transforming locally made fabrics and ethnic textiles into carefully crafted clothing for the contemporary woman--with a growing men's line. Sylva has traveled the world in search of materials and inspiration, and her latest collection combines traditional Indian and Kashmir paisley patterns with the crisp lines that distinguishes Nagada's modern styling. Sylva will share the Nagada story and the creative process, from inspiration through production.
