Beirut, Lebanon
A private 350 sqm apartment sits on the top floor of a Beirut apartment building with panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. The design seeks to unify the space by defining a horizontal datum that incorporates the existing balustrades and ties the entire space together. A vertical ribbon determines the height of niches, internal windows, and material breaks.
The minimalist space is intended to house a variety of precious objects within a tranquil environment. A long metallic object, dubbed The Airplane, pierces the bedroom wing and houses three separate bathrooms and the entertainment center.
