Alami Apartment
Ras Beirut, Lebanon
The design for this 300 sqm urban apartment for a young family of five proposes multiple zones of living and activity organized along a wooden spine. Objects, from a seemingly freestanding box for the children’s bathroom to a floating ceiling in the living room, add a layer of presence in each space. The rich selection and layering of materials further enhance the connections between the spaces, as exemplified by the backlit, onyx graphic application of the names of the family members at the entrance.
