Unit
Beirut, Lebanon
The 2,000 sqm furnished apartments building is situated in an industrial area near Beirut port. The architectural concept expresses the juxtaposition of two languages, the skin and the core, as expressed in the use of industrial materials to create layers and skins. The intention is for residents to reconfigure the elements of the façade to convey their and the area’s transient nature, also reflected in the flexible and connected interior living units. The design concept is carried through to the branding that treats one blind façade as an urban mural for the edgy brand components. The interior wayfinding system draws inspiration from the modular units and bold colors of the spatial concept.
